Travel Tip: Ask people for help. Generally speaking, people are very friendly. “Hello, do you speak English?” A great first question. Yes, is the answer most of the time. Then, be friendly and ask the question. This worked well for me all day, where public transportation can be confusing in one’s own language, let alone a foreign language.
I made it from Paris’ Charles de Gaulle Airport to the Train station. I love trains by the way!
Anyway, I had two hours between leaving the airport and catching the train. I tried the bus, but gave up; way too confusing, and the clock was ticking.
I ended up taking a taxi. Arnold, the driver from The Ivory Coast, was so cool. He introduced me to a musical artist whose music I love – Jacob Banks. I’ll be listening to more of him this week.
